Give to Gain: International Women’s Day mural donation
As a lettering artist and muralist, I believe words have the power to shape culture, and not just decorate walls. This mobile mural was created in response to the International Women’s Day 2026 theme, Give to Gain, and for my submission to the Typism global lettering challenge. Designed to be bold and optimistic, the artwork represents a world where people lift each other up, where collaboration creates change and generosity fuels opportunity. I’ve gathered the colours, primed the panels, crafted the design and projected it to start painting.
Rather than leave this message static in one location, I want it to move — to be where leadership, advocacy and connection are happening. That’s why I’m offering the mural to conference and event organisers hosting International Women’s Day gatherings in March 2026. The portable panels can be transported and installed as an activation space, feature backdrop or staging element, creating a lasting photographic moment for attendees and a visual anchor for your event.
The mural measures 2.4m x 2.4m in total, allowing it to remain transported as two pieces while still delivering large-scale visual impact. I carefully selected the International Women’s Day purple-led colour palette and built layered tones of magenta, orange and deep violet to ensure strong contrast, photographic clarity and long-term vibrancy. Every element — from the composition and pattern flow to the typography — was intentionally chosen to feel bold, uplifting and legible at a distance. This level of care reflects my belief that public lettering should look beautiful, and carry meaning, energy and professionalism wherever it appears.
If you’re working to create positive impact for women through education, equity and community, I’d love to offer this mural to support the good work you’re doing in the world. Contact me at hello@taniahearn.com and let’s make a plan for your IWD event.
