Thrive is a 6m x 2m mural created for a residential fence, designed to cover the plain grey palings and transform the space into an inviting focal point. Set against a backdrop of verdant growth, springwater, and thriving natural habitat, the artwork complements its surroundings while adding a personal, expressive touch. Orange, gold, and teal tones were chosen to reflect a relaxed coastal energy, enhancing the outdoor atmosphere. The word Thrive, rendered in dynamic, flowing script, completes the bespoke design with a sense of movement and optimism.

To bring the mural to life, I used a combination of spray paint and hand-brushed acrylics, carefully layering bold pigments to build depth and dimension. The gradient lettering flows seamlessly from warm to cool tones, echoing both vitality and calm. The natural texture of the timber fence added character, allowing the paint to interact with the surface in organic ways—absorbing in places and catching light in others. The result is a vibrant, uplifting statement piece that shifts with the light and season, inspiring a sense of renewal and growth in its everyday setting.
